Investigating new drugs that improve heart function (PROJECT CLOSED)

About the project:

The human heart contracts over 2 billion times during a person's life. The heartbeat is controlled by precise signals from the body. We have identified a protein that may have an important role in regulating the heartbeat. This protein controls other proteins inside a heart muscle cell by rapidly and directly changing them. This project will search for new drugs to improve heart function in patients with heart disease.
